The Morgan Plus 4 was introduced in 1959 and originally used a Standard Vanguard 2088 cc four cylinder engine.

From 1953 the 1991 cc engine from the Triumph TR3 was used.

From 1962 the 2138 cc engine from the Triumph TR4 was used.

The Plus 4 used a Moss Gearbox.

The model was available as a 2-seater, 4-seater and also as a drophead coupe.

Variants on the Plus 4 were the Plus 4 Super Sports and the aerodynamically shaped Morgan +4+.
